How to black out something in a picture on iPhone

Steps

  1. Open Redacted on your iPhone.
  2. Tap to choose a photo, or paste an image if it is on your clipboard.
  3. Place a selection over the area you want to hide.
  4. Choose the black box mask.
  5. Download the edited image.

What to black out before sharing

Blur, pixelate, or black box?

Black box is the strongest choice for sensitive text. Blur can look cleaner for casual sharing, while pixelation is useful for faces or details where you want a less severe look.
